Update: Application for UNFCCC-GIR-CASTT

The UNFCCC-GIR-Climate Action and Support Transparency Training (CASTT) is happening for the fourth consecutive year in 2020! UNFCCC-GIR-CASTT is a professional training programme on greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories for national experts from developing countries. The programme is being offered by the UNFCCC secretariat in collaboration with the Greenhouse Gas inventory & Research Center of Korea (GIR) and is supported by the Partnership on Transparency in the Paris Agreement.

In the first two years, this programme already trained over 50 inventory specialists from all over the world. The participants gain not only knowledge on how to develop national greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, but also an incredible life experience as the programme includes classes, group activities and field trips.

In response to the global COVID-19 outbreak and to prioritize the health and safety of the prospective trainees, the 10th UNFCCC-GIR-CASTT Programme is postponed to August 2020 and applilcations are still open.

The rescheduled programme will take place in Seoul, Korea from 3 August~26 August 2020.
