NDC Helpdesk

The NDC Support Cluster has established a platform for providing flexible support to deal with a number of challenges around NDC implementation in developing countries. The Helpdesk works through a network of experts in different fields related to NDC implementation, including political and institutional frameworks, sector approaches, financing, and data and transparency. The NDC Helpdesk does not provide funding directly to countries, but instead supports the provision of technical assistance offered by experts on specific NDC-related challenges.

We partner with the existing services provided by LEDS GP under the Remote Expert Assistance on LEDS (REAL).

Who is eligible for support?

Advice is being offered to developing countries’ government bodies responsible for coordinating NDC implementation, especially from partner countries of the Cluster. In addition, other government institutions and organisations can apply for support if their request is supported by the entity in charge of NDC coordination.


Types of requests covered

The request must clearly refer to a barrier/ challenge to further developing or implementing the country’s (I)NDC that can be addressed through a short-term support service.

Types of assistance

The NDC Helpdesk could provide the following assistance for developing countries through:

  • Short term expert missions (international expert or country representative/peer)
  • Studies, analysis, reports, guidance documents
  • Collection and dissemination of best practices
  • Workshops, trainings
  • Webinars, online learning approaches
  • Expert review and advice on draft policies and strategies
  • Study tours
  • Financing for participation at conferences, (online) trainings etc. of other providers

Applying for assistance

Government bodies responsible for coordinating NDC implementation and those working on their behalf are invited to submit requests. You may request assistance by sending an e-mail to helpdesk@ndc-cluster.net.

We will assess all requests and provide an initial feedback within two weeks after receipt.
